He had a high fever last night, but it went down with Tylenol.
He seemed fine this morning so we went with the plan - surprise trip to Sesame Place for this Elmo's Birthday season passholders thing.
It was sort of worth it.
No special piano-playing invite. He just invited himself (we had seen it twice, and in the first incarnation, kids stayed on stage the whole time and no one minded, so he was emboldened the second time through).
But for the record, none of us are in great shape tonight. We all started this journey unhealthy and we came home pretty much the same. We don't feel too guilty, though, since sitting in his car seat for a total of three hours was way more sedentary than we could ever have convinced him to be at home.
As for whether we would recommend Elmo's Birthday Bash to others? No. There was very little to do - just the show and the meal, contrary to the carousel being advertised. Beck was frustrated by not being able to play on stuff - they hadn't even cleared snow off the Sesame Street "set," which would have added one more nice thing for them to do. All in all, Sesame Place is SO not worth going on the off season, other than for a few moments like this:
Enough of a fix, I suppose, to get him through the long, cruel, Sesame-Place-less winter.
