So here we are at 5 days past ovulation. That, at least, is Fertility Friend's current estimation and I like it well enough because it means our timing was excellent. I keep writing to the FF expert people looking for reassurance that we did OK, and they continue to tell me we did. It's the silliest thing, really, because there is absolutely no guarantee that good timing means ANYTHING. Then again, if you have bad timing it definitely can't happen. Then again, we never really know when we've ovulated without ultrasound monitoring, so who the hell knows?
This weekend we tried to keep relatively busy to distract ourselves. We willingly saw "Madagascar" (we love penguins and creatures that don't want to ever leave New York) and Wes got a
{Had to pause there for our last fire drill of the year, which lasted longer than usual because there was concern that we were missing a kid. Don't worry - we weren't. Kids aren't that dumb, just grown-ups.}
Wes got a manicure with me, his first ever. He then spent the rest of the day marvelling at his grown-up-looking hands - his cuticles were truly yucky before and I had been trying for years to make him tend to them.
We also took an impromptu, stealth Ikea trip (sorry gertielover) to look at cribs. We think we also found a rocker that is cheap and stylish enough, which is good because I really loved that expensive one featured on Wes' coveting and we may have ended up buying it without an acceptable alternative.
The running, not-funny joke of the weekend was:
ME: I'm probably not pregnant.
WES: Probably not.
ME: But I could be.
WES: Could be.
ME: But probably not.
WES: Probably not.
ME: But maybe....
I just love it! It never gets old! I'm quite sure you can see repeat performances - we're here all week.
Today's symptoms:
* cramps cramps cramps - could be an ulcer forming
* can't think of what I want to eat but want to eat a lot - could be stress
* still with the crazy frequent peeing - don't know how I am doing that psychosomatically but put nothing past my all-powerful bladder
* my favorite so far: Last night my stomach was really, really hot. My head and limbs were totally normal but from my hips to my chest, I was BURNING UP. Wes made funny, baffled faces while feeling me up. It was highly entertaining.
If it's in there, it is definitely a blastocyst by now.
